Green Apple Aphids

Post by homestar455 »

I finally got around to getting some new glass, and apparently just in time to photograph some Green Apple Aphids that showed up in my backyard.

All of these were captured using a Raynox DCR-250 attached to a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7, with a milk carton flash diffuser for lighting.

Good progress! I couldn't find anything info like f-number in the images. Do you remember what you were shooting at?

Thank you, glad you think so. :)

Pretty much all of the settings were static throughout most of the images.
ISO: 80
Focal Length: 72mm (432mm equiv)
Aperture: F/8
Exposure time: 1/400

The only exceptions being the first two images; the first one was at 1/1000 second shutter speed (trying to capture the beast mid-flight) and the second was at 66mm (396mm equiv) focal length.
