I think Brian is the winner as well. The subject disappeared when I accidently bumped the stage, so I can't take any more images
A cusory search for 'drain fly' showed nearly 100% of the hits were on how to get rid of them, only one said they were not a problem and the larvae was probably beneficial.
p.s. It wasn't drowned, but was found in a flourescent light fixture that just failed. It has probably been dead for quite some time.
