New Macro Lens

Post by Carl_Constantine »

Well, it's been a long time since I've been on the forum. I've been very busy working on a new website for a company promoting free legal information here in Canada and so I haven't had much time to do any photography. However, I finally broke down and ordered my very first MACRO LENS!!

I'm like a kid on Christmas day waiting for this thing to arrive (just ordered it yesterday). I ordered the Tokina AT-X 100mm F2.8 Pro D Macro lens. It has good reviews, is not very expensive, provides 1:1 reproduction, fits my new Canon 40D, and was reasonably priced at $550 CDN plus taxes.

With spring and summer coming, I jut can't wait to take some pics and show everyone. I'm anxious to do some stacks and general macro work. just can't wait!

Glad to see you back, Carl. :D

Sounds like you made a good choice with that lens -- should be lots of fun!
