Reluctant ant

Post by gmazza »

The ant was unable to capture the silk producers in the trunk, and decided to not continue above it.

Interesting shot Gustavo.

I'm intrigued by the large ant walking along the silk threads and the colour and texture in the bark.

What are the smaller insects under the silk?

Interesting capture- guessing the silk producers are barkflies (nymphs in the photo) but that must be a fairly large ant !
