This is one ugly and very small bug but then again, it wasn't taking any pictures of me either.

Now this is a large blackberry bush, use the thorn for scale in relation to this bug, looks like a peppercorn only a much smaller. When your hot, your hot!  Canon EOS 20D w/EF-100mm f/2.8 macro, Canon 430EX Speelite off camera @ -1/3 PP: Photo Impact 6 :D

Well, ugly is very subjective. In fact, I love beetles with such rugose structures. I remember the Chlamisini from my expeditions to SE-Asia. When they are not moving, and you have never seen them before, they might be easily mistaken for some caterpilar excrement.

Cheers

Sort of like some moths that look a lot like bird droppings when they are not moving. I spent a little time in SE Asia or there abouts, mostly in the Philippine Islands and they have some bugs there for sure! I remember walking along a revetment and kicking what appeared to be a stick, until all at once these long legs came out, it stood up, and went to chattering. I moved along and at a brisk pace.

Thanks Harry :D
