The advantages of diffused lighting! A sunny day with a sky veiled with light white cloud is supposed to be the ideal photo lighting since it lowers contrast and does not produce harsh shadows like full sun does!

You can use a fold up diffuser between the sun and plants or flowers as they do not fly away, but trying this usually spooks insects and you either need an assistant or a third hand to hold it, plus it's impossible if hand holding the camera close up.

Guess we in the UK would call the flowers Forget-me-not's:-
