New server speeds

Post by Danny »

Just interested if anyone is having problems with speed on the new server. Replying times, posting times and uploading times.

How do they seem your end ??. Helpful to know thanks folks. One from Sth Africa is slow in getting the reply box to send. Anyone else having that problem ???

Thanks all, it would be a big help to know and I'm sure Rik would be interested. From NZ this end its fine.

It's all smooth here in Australia (exceptional actually). Initially, I did notice some delays on Saturday night (US time, after the changeover) when viewing new post notifications via email links and then attempting to navigate to the Forum Index; but clearing out all cookies seemed to correct that issue.

Thanks Craig. Similar here on Saturday night as well. I did the same and deleted the cookies as well (why can't they be called biscuits or sausages), then it kicked in fine after that.

Nice to know its quick next door thanks Craig :D

I get the impression that replying times are shorter.

(Dunno what really happens to folks in NC when being "tickled pink with the new service", though!? :? Ya talkin' in riddles, Ken. D'ya mean ya coddled by the new service?)

Well Betty, I would say (being from the South, but misplaced in PA) that Ken is tickled pink and will probably remain that way until something comes along to untickle him pink.

New system seems to be working well. I just now turned my "log me on automatically" button back on, and will let you know how that works out.
Well, "keep me logged on" is now working for me. (sounds of cheering and huzzahs)
