Ernest Fullam "Waffle" Light & Electron Micros

Post by houstontx »

Here are some images of a resolution target labeled on the box as "E. Fullam Waffle" I have found no info about this target other than it was made by a company purchased in 2009 by Ted Pella Inc. which makes & sells Electron microscopy and vacuum equipment.

The target looks like smooth brass surface at low mags, but as mag increases you begin to see small gold flakes, these flakes have a crosshatch pattern which only becomes visible around 800x magnification (3rd photo). Please disregard the scale bar and file names. I used the sem to do a quick test at mags from 1100x to 11,000x (last photo). This is what the SEM told me it was anyway, i have not calibrated it yet myself. I would love to know the distance of the waffle squares!
