Note to other people: this pair is designed for parallel viewing, not crossed eyes.

Parallel: left eye image on left side of pair.

Crossed: left eye image on right side of pair.

Viewing either one as if it were the other results in depth inversion, so a convex object looks concave.

Most images published in this forum are crossed-eye, so they can be viewed without aid by people have learned the trick.

Thought I'd experiment with a UV flashlight on this little critter. Below is a link to a larger image.

Here's a panorama created with PTGui. Shot with a DiMAGE 5400 scanner lens at 1.8x magnification with a Canon 50D. Not spot on, stack wise, but close. Below is a link to a much larger version. Once there if you click on the image you can pan through it.

Nice images JW!!! What extension did you use with the Di5400?

Best,

Best,
It's mounted on my Nikon MM-11. I need to design another adapter to achieve 1:1 magnification. My camera is mounted as close as possible on top. As I mentioned, this was 1.8x. Of course my illumination isn't shown below nor my diffuser. All of my Nikon Measuurescope lenses mount on that adapter too, as do my enlarger lenses.

Thanks, from the picture this looks like ~100mm extension from the sensor.

... not sure where you would measure to on a scanning lens but it's in that neighborhood.
