Solitary Bee

Was surprised to find this critter in November, but it has been unusually warm this year. Taken in my "studio" (patio table), I managed to get three frames before the bee woke up and took off (I think that the flash triggered it to get active).

Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (2x, 3x, and 3.5x) + a diffused MT-26EX-RT (E-TTL metering, -1/3 FEC). These are single, uncropped, frames taken hand held. I used an artificial flower to keep the background from being black.

Gorgeous, it's a male Andrena sp. - where was the images taken, this is indeed a late date for a solitary bee

Do you think it hatched?! Seems really odd to see a male this late in the year.
