Lime tree twig section

Post by WalterD »

Did not cut those, but received them in fixative so they were observed unmounted. Twigs of the lime tree sections are very colorful with polarisation or differential interference contrast, in particular the vascular bundles.
Photo 2 is a crop of 1 (50%)

Regards,

Walter

Thanks for your positive comments, gents.
Not commercial cut, but a gift from a friend who cut them on a box microtome.
Received the cuts in a jar in a glycerine alcohol mixture. :)
