more snail tongues

Radula of another fresh-water snail. Snail tongues are weird... Stained with Congo Red, mounted in Methyl Salicylate. Depth color-coded.

Could you explain a bit more your technique? (staining, excitation wavelength...)
I think that I could have access to Congo red at my former lab, is it so toxic as Wikipedia says?
