This looks like a nice XYZ system. Not cheap, but also not outrageously expensive:

I like the manual control knobs for each axis. Motors are high voltage / 200-step, so would need to be swapped out with low voltage and probably 400-step to make the system compatible with StackShot/WeMacro/mjkzz controllers. Z-axis rail screw is 4mm pitch, so probably not going to work well above 50x, but should be OK for 10x-20x.

Since this is a 3 axis setup you might consider using a custom controller that supports 24 volt motors rather than having to change the motors. Many of the stepper motor driver chips like the MPS-6500, A4988, STSPIN820 and TB67S249 support 24 volts or more. Of course this means having to develop your own controller.
Another possibility would be to modify the Stackshot, Wemacro or MJKZZ controller to handle the 24 volt motors. I suspect this would be a relatively simple mod where the motor supply is disconnected from the nominal 12 Volt source and routed to a added connector where 24V would be supplied. If you do this be sure to include a local decouple capacitor (~100uF) on the motor supply.
One idea would be include a diode in series with the nominal 12 volt motor supply going to the driver chip, then route the driver chip motor supply pin also to an external connector. This way the controller will work with the nominal 12 volt power (regular stepper motor will "see" about 11 volts, but that shouldn't matter), and if an external power supply is attached to the connector then if it's greater than ~12 volts it will supply the motor current.
Anyway, just thinking out loud.
Best,
Research is like a treasure hunt, you don't know where to look or what you'll find!

7 negatives out of 206 is horrendous. I've seen sellers with 20k+ positives, some neutrals, and zero negative feedback. Personally wouldn't buy from stores that deals a massive batch of items with below 99.6% positive feedback.Chris S. wrote:Over the past twelve months: 7 negative feedbacks, compared with 206 positive feedbacks.Macro_Cosmos wrote:The feedback looks really bad, 7 negatives. I think a reasonable reading would indicate "strongly favorable, but you can't please everybody." I have no experience with this vendor, but dislike seeing someone get bashed by a misreading of the data.

This seller sells specialised gear, so bad quality on a couple is a pretty strong indicator of the overall quality. He's not someone that runs one of those dollar type stores with a large range of convoluted goods from various manufactures.
Here's just one of many specialised product sellers with flawless feedback: https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI. ... true&rt=nc
Of course one can go on about how it's easier to make lens plates, adapters, and what-not compared to a leadscrew stage... I can't see a way to rationalise the seller's horrible feedback I'm afraid. 97.2% is just awful no matter how you put it, this is the ebay world. Even if we deduct the 3 dubious ones, it's 98.54% positive. That's just bad by ebay's standards.
Here's 99.9%, among negatives, many are about how bad Startrack is (I agree), not their fault. One is from a person too lazy to download programs but not lazy enough to show he/she is lazy...
Typically vendors who deal with such items have fairly mediocre feedback. This seller didn't however.

100%:

This one is really bad, one can see the supermarket giant runs an online store but doesn't bother to communicate with buyers.
https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/colessuperm ... 7675.l2559
KF concept, 99.8%, despite the fact that they sell cheap (in price, the quality is great) products and they are based in China.
https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/kf_concept_ ... 7675.l2559
Here's the typical supermarket kind of store:
https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/heybest2017 ... 7675.l2559
A quick read indicates they lie about location on some items. This allows the buyer to avoid silly taxes but then most won't expect that.
So yeah... the seller had feedback that is similar to online cheap product merchants. I will hold my initial position and not recommend the seller.
Here's some sellers selling similar products with 99.6%-100% positive feedback, out of more than 200 too:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-400mm-Stro ... ondition=3
https://www.ebay.com/itm/DIY-CNC-X-Y-Z- ... Sw~llcThjl
https://www.ebay.com/itm/X-Y-Z-Axis-7-5 ... SwpvRcafNt
(out of 59, 100%) https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Axis-DSP-Con ... SwX3FbH0XC
While they don't seem to be configured in XYZ and might cost more, specifications might be different... I think you get the point. Ratings work very differently in the ebay world.
