Ambush bugs hunting and eating

Post by Michael Ross »

Ambush bugs are among my favorites during the summer months: tend to remain still, and often identifiable by their habit of lurking near flowers until an unsuspecting fly / bee / wasp / other comes too close. On occasion, they will hunt in pairs, and I have seen them "share a meal" with crab spiders, who utilize the same hunting technique.

Very good! These are always interesting insects, and as you show they don't care if their next meal is bigger and stingy!
