While digging through old transparencies in aid of a friend's book project, I found an unrelated one that I shot some a number of years ago; my wife perched on the front of my car. The E-6 emulsion was extensively involved with a fungal infection in localized areas; rather than try to clean it with one of the various techniques that have been suggested over the years (the number of which seems to be exceeded only by commercially available wrinkle removers for ageing skin!) a stack was made of the emulsion surface and a rather successful digital "cleaning" of the scanned slide gave me record of that day many years ago with wife and car, both of which are still with me.

Very nice bit of opportunistic photography.
would like to see a crop and enlargement of different parts?

Just a thought, this could have made a nice "What is it" topic.

Nicely done.

Thanks, grgh; here's a bit larger view, darkfield. Not quite so placid and delicate here, I think. Messy beast.

Still very nice shot.

Just wondering who is going to look at main photo and identify the area in question,?
now there is a riddle for the observant.
