The first and second photo show two different mosses growing at the bark of a tree, leafs could not be seen with the bare eye. This shows not all mosses show the same red response to the light source. In the back of photo 1 you can see the red glare of different moss in the back that does show this chlorophyl reaction. In photo 2 I tried to take a frontal picture of the leafs, by making a section of the bark they were growing on. Pictures from the top often were less succesfull. Photo 3 I took a couple of weeks ago, same mangnification as 1,2 and 4 (7x) but larger leafs with coarser cell structure. Photo 4 was taken after browsing through the sample under UV light for a while. It's a leaf that's partially dead and shows the difference with the living structure.
