Hi Uncle Y,

Make sure the SR 120/5.6 lens is focused at infinity.

Also make sure the Xenon lens front cell has not unscrewed or loosened from the iris or main barrel. The lens cells are not very tight.

This lens set-up should produce awesome image quality.

Best,

robert

I haven't tried that particular combo, but it seems to perform very well in Robert's tests.

It is hard to judge by the single shots you posted, but the result does not look that bad to me.

The best way to determine how good or bad it does, would be comparing it with some "reference" lens, such as the Mitu 5, if you have one. Maybe you have your expectations set too high.

So I tried a similar test method. The picture is taken in 10PICS sheets of 20 UM using RAW in HF. 100% near the center.

 I don't quite know what to say, other than thank you :D

Well, the Mitty 10 plays in another league. The first images are too small as to assess and compare properly. In the laser printed paper test, the Linos image looks indeed better. But that are single shots, right? Can you make a stack with each lens and post the result? Ideally with a link/s to high-resolution images.

uncleY, I think you are using 24 x 36 Sony A7R2 for all?

I believe Robert said the quality is less good at the edges of his test, and he used APS. So it would not be surprising to find what you have, so far.
Robert looks very close!
