Blood smear

I was going through all of my objectives and came across a 100X non-oil objective. This is from a blood smear and no cover slip.

would be interested in what the x100 non oil is?

I think the objective may have come an AMSCOPE setup --cheap reasonably good scopes which once in a while surprise you.

The markings on the barrel are

100/1.25
160/0.17

However, when I shot the blood smear, I did not use a cover glass.

I thought NA>1 meant it wouldn't be air?
