Radiolarian 3

Post by Wim van Egmond »

Another D3 Radiolarian stack. taken with a 25X planapo.

Of course this is sharpened. In a larger size it looks different. But I think this heavy sharpening is only good for small images and on a screen. With prints too much sharpening looks unnatural. I tend to use it less and less.

When I look carefully at the tones in the background I still see that there are some imperfections. Also because the contrast is enhanced. I used a single image of the background without the radiolarian for the background (see previous post).

But overall this is all nitpicking. There will always be desires for better cameras and when testing a new camera you tend to focus on the imperfections. It is unbelievable what the cameras nowadays can do.

Thanks Ken, but, I am not having any fun because this was made with a borrowed camera! :)
