Scanning Electron Microscope Subject Stage Assembly

Post by Pizzazz »

Hi Gang

I wanted to share with you a SEM Subject Stage assembly that I
got from a friend, as we tearing it down for parts. My friend has several,
and one is almost totally working.

I looked at the stage and thought it would be pretty cool for my macro
work, so I am in the process of fitting it to my macro table.

It has X, Y, Z axis control and a rotational control. There is a motor drive
unit that turns the small subject stage. The X, Y, and Z axis can be
adjusted to 0.002mm, and the build quality is pristine.

Here are a few photos (not the best quality) but hopefully good enough
to get you as excited as I am.

Mike

Great! Likely you can't find a higher precision multi-axis positioner.
Please post it when tested and integrated in a macro setup.

At the used market they pop up at reasonable prices and time ago I was thinking in getting one, but the big size and uncertainties about its working order has prevented me to buy them from the other side of the pond.
