Shield bug proboscis

Never really shot the proboscis up close as it's usually folded close to the boidy. I managed to prise this one out a bit and it stayed put. Shot with 5x and 20x Mitties in APS-C crop mode.

That closeup of the end is amazing and deadly looking! The grooves seem to have a slight twist. That is one excellent image of it!
