I used extension tubes. I switched from Pentax to Sony a few weeks ago, therefore I use Pentax adapted stuff. The solution showed give something between 2:1 and 3:1

Is your specimen and refector holder just constructed from ringshaped super magnets and an iron block?

Correct I used magnets with counter sink and a tungsten drill to bore the hardened ball bearing balls. this gives a very flexible adjustable holder.

see bottom of page 4. T2-adapters are a good base to create own adpater with an easy to make turned part, fixed in the T2-adapter.
