Canon MPE 65mm + Raynox MSN 202 Step Size Calculation?

Hi,

I went through a thread here recently, which had a test run photos of the MPE and the 202 combo set at 5x. I am trying to find that thread again to recheck my queries.

If I plan to use this combo I am stuck on how to calculate the step size for individual magnifications (i.e. 1x 2x 3x 4x 5x) that i can input in the wemacro software.

I dont have access to microscope objectives so this combo is my best bet for high magnification.

I did a test to see through the viewfinder how it looks with the MPE set at 5x. it was kind of "misty-hazy" feel to it. I assume this will be there given the play of both the optics together?
