A different kind of spider from the orb weavers I've been seeing around the garage doors. Note the elongated abdomen and very long legs. Shot the night before last.

Thanks.Ken Ramos wrote:Looks like what we call a "cellar spider" around here. I believe that I read somewhere that they also prey on other spiders. Good for them!
Until I started going out at night, I had no idea there were so many spiders hanging around the garages.
At first I thought there were only orb weavers, but that's clearly not the case.
Who knows what I'll see if I go out tonight.

Not apparently around here. I've seen very few moths since I started going out.Ken Ramos wrote:Well, no one's found Jimmy Hoffa yet However, if you like moths, night time is perfect for them.
I found that reddish-brown stag beetle in broad daylight, around 5:00pm.
After that, I didn't feel like I needed to go out tonight, and instead worked on the tablet mount for my good tripod, which is now done.
