Olympus NIC/Phase Contrast condenser dovetail?

Post by NicoVB »

I was wondering, after reading the manual, why there is a dovetail connection on the bottom of the BH NIC/PC condenser?

Nono, it's clamped by using the top mounting collar :)
Like i said, it's described in the manual, but no further details explained.

Some scopes use collar, others use dovetail.

Johny is right, it's to mount it on BH2 series, older microscopes like BH and CH use the classic collar system, this condenser seems compatible with both systems. Take a look at the BH2 manual. (and at the posted image it says "mounting dovetail" :D )
