That is remarkable. The lighting is just so much more effective than uniform omnidirectional diffusion.

excellent, please share some details about the lightning.

I once tried that on a SEM, but compared to your shot that turned out boring.

Just two 10w diffused LED panels (Trond gooseneck lamps - about 5900-6000k colour temp). One at top right facing in at about 45 degrees left and down. The other low down on the left and more to the side to even the brightness and add extra highlights.
