Do you mean the Planapo 40/0,95, the Plan-Neofluar 63/0,90 or the Plan-Neofluar 40/0,90 Imm? I haven't tried any of them but we should clarify
To be specific the Plan-NEOFLUAR 40 / 0,9 Imm but I'm game for the best 40x for the PZO DIC.

Hi,

I haven't tested any on the PZO, but the "best" Zeiss 40 is the Zeiss Planapo 40/1,0 Oel.

It is known to work well in other DIC systems. I also found one example of it being used on the PZO (first image): http://www.mikro-tuemplerforum.at/viewt ... f=26&p=703

Several people have suggested the Nkon CFN's to me in the past. I was just curious if there were others equal to or better at 40x.

Thanks,

The Z. Planapo 40/0.95 works nicely for Zeiss DIC, I guess it will do with the PZO that is more adjustable.

- Be aware that Nikon CF doesn't need compensating eyepieces while Zeiss 160 need compensating KPL ones. Olympus and Leitz also need their matched compensating eyepieces.

Well that is better but you did better still !!

Talking of Apo 40X 0.95 objective examples does anyone know how does this one compares and performs?

(I acquired a damaged one a few years ago with an Ortholux but it was irrecoverable.)
