hello.
im just wondering what you all think of polarizing filers? and how often you use them.
i dont have polarizing filters for my lenses though ive tried some polarisers afew times and found that it cut alot alot of glare giving a clearer photograph.
just thought id gather some opinions and see what some people think before proceeding with the buying process.
what do you all think?
Thanks.

These days with beam splitters and semi-silvered mirrors in the light and metering paths of modern cameras you need the more expensive circular polarizers on the camera ( a linear polariser sandwiched with a quarter wave plate) or you will get incorrect metering.

You can also remove reflections by taking the subject under polarized light with a polarizer also on the camera. You need a polarizing gel or similar over your light source, as well as a polariser on the camera to do this.
