Looking over my slide trying to find something besides paramecia and rotifers I came across this nice diatom.

Olympus 100/1.40 S Plan Apo, Canon 350D, DIC illumination. 18 images stacked with Helicon Focus.

Hi Charlie--

Its gorgeous as usual. How does your apparent resolution change as you change the diatom's orientation with respect to your polarizer?
