Leitz 40/0.95 apo problem

Post by René »

Hello all,

Could somebody give me some advice about dismantling this objective?
Turning the correction collar does also retract the lens (arrow, correction collar moved slightly).

It shouldn't be doing that, so I started dismantling it:

Screwing off the barrel:

And everything else that comes off easily:

The first splint screws out easily. But the second little thingy doesn't come out:

I removed an internal ring out of the way:

And then I can see another internal ring which is conncected with the little splint, barely visible here at around 6 o'clock:

I can't push the splint in, and it doesn't come out. And now I'm stuck. Can anybody guide me further?

Thanks, René

Hi Pär,

The correction collar doesn't work, got stuck somewhere. I want to take it apart and get it back together in working order. Without removing the little splint, it does not come apart further, and I don't know how to get it out without damage.

Best wishes, René
