Gerbera pollen

Post by bernhardinho »

Hi friends,

once a trend is set, one should subscribe to it, especially when it's a nice one. So here is my try to pollen grains. The easiest choice was a Gerbera from my window sill

Well I have to say Bernhard, you have succeeded remarkably well :D . These images are by far the best so far as to showing an example of the grains textures utilizing the light microscope. Maybe it is the source of the pollen and the pollen itself that makes the difference :-k . Just the same excellent work Bernhard. :D

Bernhard,
Nice shots. They seem to have a quite similar shape to the Camellia I was working with today. How did you "mount" yours for these pictures?

Thanks Ken and Charles,

the grains were mounted quite simply in glycerol.

Cheers
