Plastic spider, X-ray mosquito and Salt diamond

Post by emsiem »

Good evening folks (here and now at least)!

Finally I managed to marry my Orthoplan with 350D (sort of). In fact it was pretty easy, but I had to give up avoiding the path through my poor kit lens (18-55mm). Still have vignetting problem, but everything else is so much better than webcam photos. I'm happy at the moment :-)

Before I show my feeble first attempts, I want to apologize for ignorance with my first post. I didn't read the rules and posted few lousy photos in area where masterpieces live, instead of here. Residents of this forum were kind enough to let me realize this myself. Sorry and thank you for understanding.

So, here are some shots that made me happy this evening :-)

"Plastic Spider"

It is real, not plastic ;-), but immersed in thick plastic slide (I think it's PVC)

"X-ray Mosquito"

BW and invert inspired by specimen structure and posture

Mosquito original version (some unsharp mask and dust removed in PS)

I was surprised to see crystals formed in almost perfect circle. Is this usual?

Good night dear fellows!

Forgot to mention, all above are stacks in Helicon Focus. 9 to 11 each.
