Hello
Since few months, i'm looking for one tilting objective for macro.
Everybody knows the amazing PCE Micro Nikkor 85... really too expensive for me and my practice.
So i show you my "bricolage"
I found one Rodagon 50 mm f/5,6 - repro lens - 25 diameter - 30 mm of length
I drilled a golf ball. Rear side is made with one macro chinese macro tubes Nikon F.

The ball is blocked at the front by a ring Nikon F (male) -> M42
03 -
I used also two rings of foam.

I didn't try it, but i think this kind of lens will fit for same project.

Fred,
That's a very sophisticated and cool "bricolage"!
Another one to put on my DYI things to-do list.
Thanks for sharing, and the informative pictures !
BTW, I've very much enjoyed your photos on flickr, and immediately fell in love with your cat!

Hello
Another (recent) shot of my little guy
Since many months, i'm looking for "no vibration system" when i take photos... I should perhaps begin by removing the "ronron" machine.
Thanks BettyPlanapo wrote:BTW, I've very much enjoyed your photos on flickr, and immediately fell in love with your cat!

Thank you for showing your idea and solution!
For normal photography I thought about the antiperspirants with ball assembly, but found no small enough lens. There I started with Canon FD lenses and a flood light setup.
