Nikon Multiphot on Ebay!

Post by tatler56 »

A potential Yuletide gift to our US macro enthusiasts;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dl ... TM:US:1123

Listed as a copy camera! Looks like you would have a 19mm Macro Nikkor, shutter standard and of course the stand and 5x4 head! Good luck (I've asked already if he would be prepared to split, but no go!) All the best (and a Happy Xmas) Tatler...

Hi,

Interesting item of equipment. Pity it's such a long way away!
The HM-12X is NOT the 19mm Macro Nikkor,.
I think it's the 35mm f4.5 8x - 20x with a RMS thread.

The 19mm Macro Nikkor is HM-20X.

Interesting. Is that a good price, even without the bellows? I have to admit I know almost nothing of the market for these.

An aristophot sold for about a third of that price not too long ago. Still kicking myself for missing that auction....

I've no idea what the microscope part is worth, I paid (iirc) around £150 (around $225) for the copy stand part of the Multiphot, about 2-3 years ago. That was just the copy stand, no scope, no lenses, no bellows etc.

If the 35mm lens is in good shape, it's worth $500 by itself!......the 5x4 head is of no real use now IMHO....
