For sale Leica/Leitz focusing helicoid and M42 lens adapter

I have surplus a very nice Leitz OTZFO universal focusing helicoid part# 16464 and extension tube part # 16472K. These were originally designed to mount the optical head of the 135 F4 Hektor or the 135 f4.5 Elmar lenses on the Leitz Visoflex. They have interesting macro potential. There are two parts, a helicoid with a Leica M bayonet with a recessed internal screw thread of approximately 32mm into which screws the extension tube which has a standard M42 thread at the top to take a lens. Length of the helicoid alone unextended 23mm excluding mount, extended 50mm. Length of unit with extension tube added, unextended 63mm, extended 91mm. The helicoid is of high quality as one would expect from Leitz Wetzlar and operates smoothly, and the whole unit is beautifully internally blackened and the helicoid itself has extensive internal baffling. The unit is unboxed but in pretty much unmarked condition.

The unit has obvious potential as a macro focusing device. Adapters to fit the Leica M bayonet to a range of cameras are readily available on Ebay.
