A couple of years ago I bought a Leitz 50mm f/2.8 Photar which has an odd thread fitting (M40 x 0.75). However, I got an adapter made which effectively converts this to a Leica R fitting lens when screwed into part of a Leica extension tube set (which can in turn be fitted onto various camera systems with other adapters). Its now surplus to requirements and so I am going to dispose of it. It was relatively expensive but I'm happy to recoup £250 (GB ST) for it with the R adapter, which is less than it cost me. If anyone is interested in this oddity please pm me.
The same lens is shown here: http://www.macrolenses.de/ml_detail.php?ObjektiveNr=51
Mine has a small mark on the metal but is optically perfectly good. I can supply photos if requested.
