Kurt Wirz say hello

Post by Guppy »

My name is Kurt Wirz, I live in Basel, Switzerland.
As a 9 year old Boy, I bred guppy (million fish). Since that time my friends call me Guppy.
Already 40 years ago I was a fruitless macro photographer (Nikon FM). In the meantime, with the digital photography and the possibility to stack, I am a little bit more successful. However, there still is a lot to learn, this is the reason why I am here in the forum.
My English is bad, but I hope my pictures you find nicely.
Above all, I must learn to write English.
I hope, you understand me.
My area in macro photography is "colour and forms".
Here in the greeting I show you poppy seed.

Kurt,

Welcome :)

Your written English is very good and your images are also very good.

Welcome Kurt. Your English is far better than my um, Swiss? :) Your website images are great to. I am going to have to look in the cupboard and see if I have any poppyseed. Are these the common black seeds you normally see?

Kurt, I looked in our kitchen and found some poppy seeds from a couple years ago. They were not all black, much to my surprise. Some were purple, some were dark blue and some were even light tan colored. But, it's going to have to wait till I get some fiber optic lighting for top illumination. :)
