Microscope Analyzer Head, possibly by Vickers?

Does anyone recognise this piece and the maker?

The unit has a positional analyzer (polariser). There is also a correction lens and compensator slot (rotatable).

*later note: diameter of dovetail mount is 46mm.

Yes, a Vickers, maybe even their previous name, Cooke, Troughton and Simms
(CTS).
I am not young enough to know everything.

Choronzon,

Thanks for the details. :)

I thought it might have some recognisable manufacturer characteristics with regards to ID.
