Food moth with Carl zeis Jena Mikrotar 15mm 2.3, @ 15x

Post by seta666 »

Yesterday I tested this little lens, so far I like it.
this is made out of 192 shots with 0,006 steps; however when I got to the right antena I close the aperture ring which allowed me to do 0,02 steps and with the background antena I closed again and did 0,04 steps (/you can see difraction efects, specially in the second antena. If I had not done that this picture would have 300 shots

Here you can see the mikrotar along the nikon E plan 10x 160/0.25 LWD, it shares focal length an luminosity with it (the nikon is a 15mm f2 more or less). You can see the mikrotar is much smaller

Un good thing it has is that you can strip the optical group off the aperture ring body, no RMS though. With the right adapter I coud use the aperture ring with all the microscope lenses

PD I just found that if I unscrew the summar 65mm front element I can screw a rms lens instead, then I only have to take the rear element too and I will have a microscope lens with a beautifull round aperture ring; you can see it here
