The videos are really clear and sharp. Are you using DIC? The stills look a bit noisy though, probably from too much cropping?

Yea, I'm not happy with the graininess of the stills either. I think I should have reduced the size of the photos further. It is DIC albeit very poor DIC. Its a custom DIC attachment.

Here are some photos of the set up. The only thing that's changed is I'm now using a 30w led array for light.


My scope is a Leica Galen III stand I got for 10$ because the condenser adjustment was broken and it came without a head. I fixed the condenser, JB welded an eos mount where the head should go and attached extension tubes and a 2x teleconverter to it. I can add polarizers, DIC prisms, or my home built fluorescence attachment.
