Yeeow -- my fingers hurt just thinking about it! That's good, I think. The image would be even better (more painful?) if sharpest focus were exactly on the thorns instead of just behind them.

The background seems awfully noisy, like it was shot at high ISO. I'm not seeing ISO listed in the image's EXIF data, so I'm wondering if you had the camera set on auto.

For static subjects, it's a good idea to set the lowest ISO you can. Then set the f-number manually, and if you need to let something go auto, let it be the exposure time. Put the camera on tripod so you can fine-tune the framing and so that long exposures will not be an issue.
