Looks like a curculionid beetle (Insecta: Coleoptera: Curculionidae) to me.
Perhaps our coleopterists can say more, in any case it would be helpful to know in what part of the world this beetle was collected.

The beetle has wings and was landed on my brother's arm while we were on the beach in south Greece.
