Can I use a cover slip to hold a dry specimen down?
EG a moth wing or bee's knee tends not to be flat where you want it.
Would I be wasting my time to try to hold such things down with a slip, held by wax or tape or glue or Vaseline at the edges?
And under the cover slip. should I fill it with water, or something else?
The question was prompted by Charlie's recent pictures of mosquito wings.
