Connecting a Nikon AF Lens to a Pentax M42 Accessory

Post by georgedingwall »

Hi all,

I'm in the process of building a new Macro setup inspired by Rik Littlefield's excellent example.

I found an old Pentax bellows unit I bought over 30 years ago and would like to try to use it with my Nikon fit AF macro lenses.

I have a T2 mount so I can attach the camera to one end of the bellows OK. I was wondering if anyone knows of an adaptor which would allow me to connect my Nikon fit lenses to the other end. Is this just wishful thinking? :?

I can still use the bellows even if I can't. I've still got a few old Pentax lenses which do fit, although none of them are macro lenses.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the tip on the Ebay auction.

It's just what I was looking for. I found another auction by the same seller which ended sooner, and I have bought the adapter.

The only downside is that it has to come from Hong Kong, so I will have to wait a week or two to try it out.

Thanks again Tom, you made me a happy man. :D

George

If anybody cannot obtain a standard adapter to do the job, this firm can usually make a special one for you:-

That might come in handy, I've got a box of old photographic stuff that I might be able to resurrect. :)

Thanks for the tip.
