Very nice detail and colors. The images seem quite sharp. Is it some sort of diatom?

Hello Mitch,

This is an alga in the family Desmidiaceae.

Very nice starry night! Desmids are wonderful subjects for microscopy. Mitch, you should try to find a bog or marsh with wet sphagnum moss. Or Utricularia. There are plants that are indicators for desmids.
