Nematode

This unidentified nematode comes from my filter of aquarium.

It is Dorylaimus stagnalis, probably.

Does you DIC provide those dark backgrounds right out of the camera, or do you pull them "down" when processing?

In effect Charles. I can change the position of the dic prism up to having the dark field. It is not a treatment of image.

I believe that they are cells but I ignore that class of cells.

They are magnificent! Regarding that question of Charlie. I am not sure if he meant this but I wonder if this is the image the camera produces right away or that you have to enhance the contrast afterwards. My DIC set up (which is old) does not produce very high contrast images. I always have to enhance the contrast afterwards.

In effect. THE DIC already provokes this contrast without need of retouch of photography.
