Gordon,

Perhaps it is my monitor (though I calibrated it recently), but the pic is dark and I am having trouble making it out. It looks like ripples on the surface of water?

What is the lighter band near the upper left middle?

Actually you are probably seeing it right. What you are looking at is water running over the outflow of an aquarium filter. The ripples are actually the shadows created by the ripples as they pass over the plastic plate.

I noticed the ripples and the reflection of light right off there Gordon, though I did not know exactly otherwise what I was looking at. Sort of reminds me of an old record, 33 1/3, 45, 78 :D

Or black volcanic beach sand with little ripple waves. (sorry, my head is somewere else besides winter in the northeast :wink: ) I used to love the water sounds of my aquariums (at one time I had ten set up at once) :wink:

mmmm black sand beach.. Sounds good to me. I'm a little low on aquariums at the moment, only two.
