Injured or deformed Stylonychia

Hi folks,

First noticed this Stylonychia because of its unusual swimming action. It was moving slowly enough to enable me to clearly see the cilia and made an easy and interesting subject for a video. One can only speculate as to the cause of the damage although it could of course be congenital. In the following video the Stylonychia rotates quite slowly so providing an unusually clear shot of the cilia from different viewpoints. The video is much clearer than the 3 stills shown below.
