Lepisma Saccharina Scales

Post by RogelioMoreno »

Here is a Lepisma Saccharina scales image.

177 frames @ 0.3 microns, stacked with Zerene Stacker.

Custom motorized Nikon Labophot, Nikon M Plan Apo 40/0.8 + Nikon PL 2.5X (around 100x on sensor). For the lighting I used a Nikon EPI illuminator.

Rogelio,

Fascinating structures!

If you had not provided the ID I would have asked about the subject.

Such a unusual arrangement of scales. Your photograph captures the mystery.
