Hawkmoth eyebrow revisited

Post by Walter Piorkowski »

Image

The Eyebrow of Hawkmoth Haemorrhagia thetis Boisduval

Leitz Ortholux in EPI mode
3.8X Orthopac objective
10X Periplan GF projection eyepiece plus 1/3X relay lens
33 combined images @ .001 inch increments
Canon 10D
Photoshop, Maxim DL

I reshot this subject again at a lower magnification to sharpen my skills at a greater number of images. Mr. Krebs wondered what it would look like with more images. Well here you have it.

There is more if you like, of the whole head, on the Macrophotography site. See the portait.
